Places to visit In Kampong Thom Province
Not far out of Kompong Thom on the road to Phnom Penh is the hilltop pagoda so-called Phnom Suntok. It is an attractive location, set high (980m in fact) above the surrounding countryside. There is a number of interesting sandstone boulders balanced around the temple into which have been carved images of the Buddha.
Sambo Prei Kob
It is one of the Khmer civilization and historical sites. It located close to Steung Sen River about 35khs the north-east of Kompong Thom. There are more than a hundred temples built in 7 th century by king Isanvaraman I (ruled 615-635), and it was the former Khmer Capital City .
