A great afternoon tour, discovering the rich Khmer Arts, Architecture and Culture.


The tour starts at about 2 pm ,we head to Silver Pagoda, which is located within the royal Palace terrain. The Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor , which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. The treasures include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90 kilos and a small 17 th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha . In addition you will also have a chance to discover the Royal Palace . The Palace is a magnificent example of Khmer architecture , built in 1866 on the site of the old town . We will see the Throne Hall and the charming Napoleon III Pavilion . Then visit Rong Damrei . We continue our tour to the National Museum, a red and elegant looking pavilion , designed it in Khmer style in 1917 by Georges Groslier , which is located outer to the East of the Royal Palace. You will be surprised with the amazing Khmer arts that have been collected from all over the country, which are available on display in this Museum. Lastly, we continue this tour along the beautiful Chacktomouk River side to visit the grand Ounalom monastery.
